# Homie > Homie turns an Apple Silicon Mac connected to a TV into a shared game console and creative living-room computer. Phones are controllers. Homie enables the household’s existing Claude, Codex or Grok; it is not a separate AI subscription or model. Email-invited private beta. Start with the installation guide below. A published download does not grant enrollment. Follow the live release manifest and access state; never infer a version or bypass an invitation. Local play and media do not require an AI provider; creating with AI requires an available native CLI and the owner’s account. ## Install and use - [Install Homie](https://homie.rocks/install.md): Canonical guide from requirements and invitation to native Setup, TV and phone. Read this first on a new Mac. - [Already-installed assistant setup](https://homie.rocks/setup.md): Read-only helper commands, workspace MCP and bundled skills. Use after installation; this is not a second installer. - [Release manifest](https://homie.rocks/releases/beta.json): Exact published macOS installer URL, SHA256, size, signing and notarization metadata; fetch fresh. - [Access state](https://homie.rocks/api/beta/access): Current invitation/download gate; fetch fresh. ## Optional - [Installer page](https://homie.rocks/install/): Human download and private invitation handoff to Homie. - [Feedback](https://homie.rocks/feedback/): Private issue or idea submission; the phone also has Help & feedback in More. - [Privacy](https://homie.rocks/privacy/): Data handling and choices. - [Terms](https://homie.rocks/terms/): Private-beta terms. - [Features](https://homie.rocks/features/): What Homie can do, requirements and examples.
