TV on. Phone in hand. Here’s how to get everyone playing—and make something of your own.
Get Homie01 / GET CONNECTED
One TV. A controller
in every pocket.
- Set up the Mac. Open your beta invitation on an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 15 or newer. Follow the installer and native Setup app, including any macOS permissions.
- Scan the TV. When Homie shows Home, scan its join code with your phone. Join in your browser and choose your name. No phone app to install.
- Let everyone join. Each person scans the same TV code with their own phone. Players can join the fun; household owners approve settings and reviewed creations.

Something for
the whole room.
Open Guide on your phone. Pick a game and press Play, then follow its controls to join, ready up or start. Check the player count: solo and multiplayer availability vary by game.
Play
Everyone uses their own phone. The game supplies the controls, whether you’re steering, voting or building together.
Watch & listen
Choose a film, song or playlist in Guide. Use the remote to pause or change volume. Home brings you back to the room.
Getting a published creation? Follow the offered review and owner Keep steps before playing it on your Homie.
03 / MAKE SOMETHING
Your idea.
Your next obsession.
Open the assistant pane on your phone and describe what you want. Tell it the number of players, the mood, and what would make it fun.

Let the creation finish, try it, and ask for changes. When a review is offered, the owner can choose Keep. Creating and refining something takes time.
Bring an available, signed-in Claude, Codex or Grok account on the Mac for AI creation. Homie enables those assistants; it doesn’t supply a separate model. Existing games, media and phone controls work without a model account.
04 / BRING FRIENDS
Share the moment.
Or the thing you made.
Find Share on the game card or controller. Choose a private friends audience for a private session.
- Play together
- A player invitation gives your friend controls in the live game. The game still needs to support the number of players you want.
- Watch together
- A watch invitation shares the picture. Watching doesn’t give someone a player seat.
- Keep a creation
- A published creation can be obtained and reviewed on another Homie. Keeping a copy is different from joining the same live match.
Live invitations can expire or be used up. Ask the host for a fresh link if needed. Public room broadcasting is a separate choice.

My phone won’t join
Return the TV to Home and scan its current code. Use the browser page the code opens and follow its join instructions.
The game has no controls for me
Check the game’s player count and look for its Join or Ready action on your phone. If the controls still don’t respond, tell us the game name and what you pressed.
I need to change a connection or setting
Open household Settings. If an action needs ownership, follow the offered owner-pairing flow. A player seat alone doesn’t grant household administration.

Open More → Help & feedback on your phone, or use the form below. Tell us what you tried and what happened. Include the game and devices involved, and follow the form’s choices for diagnostic sharing.
