Homie is operated by 1243116 B.C. Ltd., Parksville, British Columbia, Canada. These terms cover Homie and homie.rocks, not the company’s other services.

Using the invited beta

Homie is currently a free, invitation-based beta for supported Macs. Team invitations and limited household invitations control access. By installing or using Homie, you agree to these terms. The Privacy notice explains information handling; reading it is not blanket consent to optional data collection.

Beta features can change or fail. Homie is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or that generated output will be correct. Keep backups of creations you value. These statements do not limit rights or guarantees that the law gives you.

Separate open-source and third-party software licenses continue to apply. These terms do not reduce rights granted under those licenses.

Your household and connected services

An adult must set up and manage the household, decide who may join and supervise children’s use. Family settings help an owner manage content; they do not guarantee every generated or third-party item is appropriate or safe.

Connect only accounts and devices you are entitled to use. AI tools, media services and home integrations have their own terms, privacy practices and account requirements. Their charges are separate from Homie, including any paid generation you request. Review permissions and important actions; AI output can be mistaken.

Your content stays yours

You retain whatever rights you have in your inputs and creations. You must have the rights needed to upload or share material. AI output may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection.

When you choose hosted sharing or distribution, you grant us a non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce and deliver the selected content and previews as needed to provide that sharing feature. Infrastructure providers may perform those operations for us. This permission is limited to operating the sharing you selected; it does not transfer ownership or permit selling your private content.

You can use supported controls to remove a hosted share. Removal cannot retrieve copies other people already downloaded or recorded, and backups may not disappear immediately.

Respect people and the service

Do not use Homie for unlawful access, harassment or threats, child exploitation, malware, material you have no right to distribute, bypassing access controls or abusing hosted capacity. We may restrict harmful use or remove hosted content to protect people and the service. You can contact us to ask for a review of a restriction or report a rights concern.

Changes and your rights

We will give notice of material changes to these terms or the operator of Homie. A future transfer does not provide blanket permission for unrelated uses of your information; we will seek consent where required by law.

British Columbia law and applicable Canadian law govern these terms, subject to mandatory protections in your place of residence. Nothing here requires arbitration or waives mandatory consumer, privacy or other legal rights.
