Homie is an open-source toolkit. You use it with the AI you already have (Claude, Codex, ChatGPT or Grok) to make things and run them on your own Cloudflare account. homie.rocks is the directory where makers choose to list what they made, and where everyone else comes to play, watch and listen.

Who it is for

People who play, and people who make.

If you came to play, watch or listen

  • Everything on Games, Music and Video was made by a person or a studio, and each piece says who.
  • Press Play and you are in a live room with whoever else is playing, on a phone or a computer. No download.
  • A game, a song or a video plays from its maker’s own site. homie.rocks lists it and links to it; it does not host it.
  • Anything that looks wrong can be reported from its card.
  • The tools they were made with are open to you. Every studio listed today is Homie’s own or a test; yours could be the first that is not.

If you want to make something

  • A studio: multiplayer games, music and video.
  • A business: your own site and news, and a game the whole room plays.
  • A non-profit: your own site, your story, a game for an event and tips.
  • You say what you want in plain words. Your AI builds it, and tells you what it is about to create before it does.
  • Listing on homie.rocks is your choice, and a separate step.

What we hold to

Yours, open, and plainly said.

It is yours

  • What you make runs on your own Cloudflare account, at your own address, under your own name.
  • It is plain files in a folder you own. You can move it, change it or leave.
  • If you sell something, the money goes to your own Stripe account. Homie takes no cut of a sale; when homie.rocks sends a studio a buyer and that studio offers a referral share, homie.rocks earns that share like any other site that sends buyers. Earning.

It is open

  • The toolkit, the plugin and the game engine packages are open source, under the Apache-2.0 licence: github.com/homie-rocks/homie.
  • It is built on open standards, and it works with more than one company’s AI.
  • Homie supplies no AI of its own and sells none.

It is plainly said

  • What you pay goes to the companies you choose, and their own pages have the prices. What it costs.
  • Nothing is offered before it exists.

Who runs it

A small company, and an open repository.

Homie and homie.rocks are run by 1243116 B.C. Ltd., in Parksville, British Columbia, Canada. The toolkit is developed in the open, and anyone can read it, use it and contribute to it.

Homie is in beta. Things change and things break. Questions and bugs go to GitHub Issues; a private note goes through Feedback & help. What the site keeps about you is in the Privacy notice, and the rules for using it are in the Terms.

Before this

The earlier Homie app.

Homie began as an app for a Mac and a TV, with every phone in the room a controller. It is not what Homie is today, and this site does not promote it. Its pages still answer for the people who use it, each under a notice that says what it is.
