Make a studio

Make a studio Beta

Homie in Codex. And in ChatGPT.

Two commands in Codex, where your studio is a folder on your computer. In ChatGPT, Homie is a connector you add once.

The fastest way in

Pick the one you use.

Codex

  1. codex plugin marketplace add homie-rocks/homie
  2. codex plugin add homie@homie

Or run /plugins inside Codex and install Homie from the Homie marketplace. Start a new session, then open /hooks and trust Homie’s three hooks.

ChatGPT

Settings, then Security and login: turn on Developer mode. Then chatgpt.com/plugins, the plus button: a name, a description and the address https://homie.rocks/mcp. On the web, with a Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise or Edu account.

These are the steps OpenAI’s own documentation gives for adding a connector.

A studio needs Node.js 22 or later on the computer it lives on.

Then

Say one sentence.

“Set up a game studio called Night Owls and make a multiplayer game.”

  1. What you will see

A checklist, ticked as it goes: the setup status, the studio, the plan, the build. The moment two browsers finish a round together you get a link to play. Then it goes on to sound, art and the playtest’s fixes, and says what it is doing. In Codex it all comes as text: Homie draws no cards there.

  2. What it asks you

In Codex, Homie’s holds are on only after you trust Homie’s hooks in /hooks. Then a deploy, a Cloudflare change, an edit to a protected file, spending past your budget and a model download wait until you answer proceed with the code it shows. Until you trust them nothing is held, Codex says nothing about it, and the setup status says “Homie’s holds: off”. The connector in ChatGPT carries no holds.

  3. Going online

One approval: Cloudflare opens in your browser, you sign in or make a free account, and approve. Your studio runs on your own account, on the free plan, with no payment method. Nothing is listed in the homie.rocks directory unless you ask.
